Stanguellini is the oldest "conversion" enterprise dealing exclusively with FIATS. Based in Modena, Italy, it was most active between 1946 and 1960 when Vittorio Stanguellini's father was the first to give the stock Italian FIAT cars a makeover, some 25 years ago.

Stanguellini was known for his art in making automobiles very light, an admirable example of economising space through ceaseless chiselling and perforating, all aimed at a single end; speed.

The Stanguellini racing team was created in 1925, first by modifying automobiles created by others and then by entirely constructing splendid cars themselves. It began and extraordinary succession of victories in the most important competitions of the time, such as the Targa Floriom, the Mille Miglia and in various European championships, soon reaching worldwide fame. They continued to produce competition cars until 1981, when Vittorio Stanguellini passed away; thereafter, the copany devoted to solely vintage cars.
