Marina Nogueira, an 18-year-old London newcomer from Brasilia, strikingly eager and vibrant. The focus of this interview was personal style, I firstly asked Marina to tell me about her evening style.  The difference between day and night reflects majorly on Marina’s mood and where she is going. Comfort plays a large role as she isn’t the kind to suffer in 6” heels and a full face of makeup, while still enjoys being “..fresh and fun in my clothing choices”. Depending on Marina’s mood she also likes to glam up her look when the time strikes her.

As many young girls have style icons, they are a part of every fashion conscience woman, young or old. I asked Marina who hers was and Anna Dello Russo was the answer. Currently Editor at Large and creative consultant for Vogue Japan, she previously also worked as a Fashion Editor at Vogue Italia.  Marina’s attraction to her and her style is the fact that “..she dares to be different and doesn’t care what other people think”.  Marina has a firm conviction that she is not afraid to be herself and conveys that in her clothing, this inspires women to be open and expressive in their own fashion. Her individuality and edgy style magnetizes the appeal of her as a style icon to many women.

Marina’s favourite item in her wardrobe is her Leopard print scarf. As it is an accessory that is worn a lot especially in frosty London, things we tend to always wear out of necessity don’t seem to be that extraordinary, however, she went on to explain that she loves to “..wear it with simple clothes and it just changes everything!” On the other hand it also goes with a more dressy look and she loves to have that one reliable item that goes with just about everything.
Marina’s must have accessories include vintage rings, large bib necklaces and small earrings. She prefers buying more “..evening style accessories to dress up my looks with statement pieces”.
Finally I asked just a bit about her general style, hair/makeup and how it has evolved. Marina enjoys being a chameleon, changing her hair colour and style constantly, along with experimenting with different makeup to discover her favourite products. She loves trying different looks such as “..urban, classic and glamorous. Ever-changing looks, but at the end of the day the key for me is to keep it natural”.
