Katharine Hepburn, arguably (and personally) the most fashionable of the Hepburn
clan and years beyond her time, daring to wear pants when it was morally taboo.
She possessed many qualities including an unspoken confidence which oozed from
her smouldering gaze that could pierce a hole into the ground. She invented “power
dressing” before it was even a “thing” and carried off striking silhouettes in wide
legged slacks, just tailored enough to still be feminine, combined together with her
trademark white button-down shirts.
Her beauty; astounding, cheekbones that could cut glass and long lanky physique
that deemed her too “masculine”, which is considered ludicrous in today’s fashion
industry. Katharine would have been the poster girl for Ralph Lauren, given the all
American style and aura she naturally exuded and would have unquestionably
walked for all the high end designer runways.
Katherine dared to be different, to create her own style in which she felt
comfortable, simple yet elegant and effortlessly chic!
